French butter keeper. I was first asked to make some of these around six years ago and have finally got around to making another.

They are designed to keep your butter at a spreadable consistency, outside the fridge, whatever the weather.

Fill the holder by pressing butter into the top section ( I use the back of a spoon) Add a couple of cm water to the base, when the top section is replaced this will create a seal, keeping the butter fresh and spreadable. It really is a genius invention!
